Click click..click

Excuse my blog-o-world absence, hope you're all doing well!
These last few months, all I do the whole day through is stare at images like these: on the confocal microscope...
as they are being scanned and recorded...
on the computer...
in my results folders...
then on a poster...
but not yet in dreams, now that would really make me batty!

Anyway, thought I’d post one up since they form my current internal/external wallpaper. Research stuff aside, these tissues are actually quite beautiful to look at. Every now and then when I’m scanning my slides for an unmashed, unmooshed, cleanly dissected tissue, I stop and think how amazing nature/ biology/ the whole doo-dah is.
Don’t get me started on Attenborough’s Planet Earth, I love that show!

You know that you're working too hard when you start to dream about experiments-and worse still when those results are better than in real life. Garfg!

They are very pretty pictures though and I completely agree with your comment about the complexity and awe of nature- it's really humbling!

ha! it's true, experimental esults in dreams seem cleaner and more elegant (and also have controls!)
how's you m's?! long time no see!

hey jfox great to see you posting again, its been awhile! luving the sci-fi-esque images. there's definitely an intergalactic, spacey quality to confocal microscopy. hope the work is going well!

Hi JFox heh, I know of that instance when experiments make sense in dreams and you have all these great ideas and then... you wake up and forget what it was all about. O well!

I is good/ok. It has been a whiles-hope things are good and look forward to catching you briefly for rockwizin' and food antics!
